AN OFFERING TO THE DIVINE MOTHER, IN HONOR OF SHAMAN ELDER KERRY HENWOOD
Led by a lama we've worked with for years • Streamed live from Bhutan • Open to all
📅 Likely mid-November, date to be confirmed
I'm consulting the lama, with Kerry's transition in mind, to find the most auspicious time that also works across time zones. Everyone who registers receives the Google Calendar invite and the recording.

Why Tara
Tara is the Divine Mother of liberation, compassion and prosperity, beloved across the Himalayas. She is known far and wide as the swiftest of all deities to respond. It's said she comes to help even before you've completed the practice, or even the mantra. Whatever your path, she is an open doorway into nature, divine intelligence and boundless care.
Why now
Shaman Elder Kerry Henwood was the original inspiration for our annual 1,000 Tara mantra chant. Kerry has entered her dying process, and this chant is an invitation to receive Tara's blessings or deepen your relationship with her, while holding Kerry in that blessing as she makes her transition.
The offering
A lama will lead 1,000 recitations of Tara's mantra from Bhutan, with offerings of flowers, ghee and milk made on behalf of everyone who joins. Tune in and listen, or chant along. No experience needed.
Register to receive the calendar invite and the recording. Please share far and wide.
Used to share upcoming in-person seminars, lineage holder and elder retreats in your area.
Receive the date and day-of reminders.
This chant is offered on a contribute-what-you-will basis. There is no required fee to participate.
Contributions are shared three ways:
- The lama and the local facilitator in Bhutan, along with the offerings of flowers, ghee and milk
- A gift to Kerry's partner, who is caring for her through this transition
- Our team, who organize and stream the chant
Any contribution, large or small, is received with deep gratitude. A contribution link will be included with your calendar invite.
Thank you.
